Levitas & Birth to keynote for Utopias & Social Change Symposium

We’re delighted that Prof Ruth Levitas (University of Bristol, author of ‘the Concept of Utopia’ and ‘Utopia as Method’)  and Prof Kevin Bishop (City University New York, theorist of time, Carnival and music, chronobiology, social rhythms) have both agreed to keynote our forthcoming Symposium. Symposium on Social Justice & Co-Produced Research

This was the title of a three day symposium held on November 4-6 this year, which brought together researchers, artists, and community organisations for a focused set of discussions exploring the research cultures and practices that might contribute to greater social and economic equality. Harnessing the power of digital technologies to enable researchers and communities to work more effectively together to explore community creativity, cultures and heritage is the driver behind eleven new research projects announced today funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Collaborative Skills Development Call

Connected Communities award holders may be interested in the AHRC Collaborative Skills Development call which closes on the 19th September. The AHRC’s Collaborative Skills Development call is aimed at supporting the development of innovative, collaborative training packages for PhD students and early career researchers in the arts and humanities.
