Book Launch - People’s Knowledge and Participatory Action Research: Escaping the White-Walled Labyrinth

4 April 2017 to 5 April 2017
Ryton Gardens; Wolston Lane, Coventry, CV8 3LG,

Members of the People Knowledge editorial collective (ChriS JaM, Nicole Kenton, Hinda Mohamed Smith, Javier Sanchez Rodriguez and Tom Wakeford) request the pleasure of your company at the launch of:
People’s Knowledge and Participatory Action Research: Escaping the White-Walled Labyrinth,

Ryton Gardens, Wolston Lane, Coventry, CV8 3LG,

2-5pm, Tuesday 4 April, 2017.

The editors say:

“We began putting this book together two years ago. Now, the contributions it contains appear more relevant than ever, amidst claims that ‘people have had enough of experts’, growing grassroots-led resistance against resurgent nationalism and the recognition that recent rises in attacks on people who are visibly different have many roots in Europe’s history of colonialism.

Organisations that undertake research, engagement and policy work are dominated by white middle-class men. The basic question the book attempts to answer is: what happens when these institutions attempt working with the rest of the world, which is different and diverse?”

Further details of the book are here:

To book a place at the event please  email and let us know if you would like transport to and from Coventry train station.
