Common Ground: the first national gathering of the AHRC Commons

21st June 2016, 10am-6pm, Ron Cooke Hub, University of York
On Midsummer’s Eve, hundreds of members of the AHRC Commons will gather at the first ever event of its kind – Common Ground.

The Call for Participants is now open here and will close on 29th March.

Individuals or groups at any career stage, from any sector or discipline are welcome to submit applications to participate in this event.

The AHRC Commons community includes anybody engaged in arts and humanities projects, ranging across: universities, the creative economy, the cultural, health, and third sectors, micro businesses, SMEs, corporations, community groups, and beyond. You are invited to join fellow members of this diverse community in creating a new and collective culture at Common Ground. There is no membership fee; the AHRC Commons is an inclusive community that shares common interests.

Respond to the Call for Participants by 4pm Tuesday 29thMarch 2016.
To respond to the Common Ground ‘Call for Participants’, please complete and submit this short online form (opens in a new window). Responses are welcome from people who would like to deliver activities in one of the event’s 9 zones or across those zones. Activities could be similar to those suggested in the PDF Common Ground: Zones Guide, or they could be entirely novel.

The Common Ground gathering will enable ideas and skills to be exchanged, new collaborations to be forged, networks to be enriched, knowledge to be produced, and the value of the arts and humanities to be expressed, discussed, and celebrated. Whether you want to be intellectually provoked or to provoke, to offer training or to benefit from it, to celebrate a project, a product, a way of working or to develop a new one, Common Ground will be enhanced if you respond to the event’s ‘Call for Participants’.

A preview copy of the online form is available for reference purposes only.

Information about how to apply to attend the Common Ground gathering, rather than deliver activities at it, will be issued later.
