Whose Remembrance? sought to investigate the state of research into the experiences of the peoples of Britain’s former empire in the two world wars, and the understanding and availability of this research to audiences and communities today. On Shared Ground: Networks and Encounters around the Margins of Community Heritage

On Shared Ground examines the connected and disconnected networks of community participation in heritage research. By ‘disconnected’, we are referring to groups or individuals on the margins and edges of communities who have connections and relationships with a specific heritage landscape, but are not currently involved in the production of histories, narratives and discourses relating to those sites. Crowd- and Community-Fuelled Archaeological Research

This project develops a web platform called MicroPasts where full-time academic researchers, volunteer archaeological and historical societies and other interested members of the public can collaborate together. It is a place where enthusiasts of any background can not only create high-quality research data together about our human history, but also collaboratively design and fund entirely new research projects.
