The Heritage and Stigma project is based at the University of Huddersfield and is designed to link academic understanding of the histories of mental ill health and learning disability with areas of current practice. Taking the long-term development of ‘care’ as its starting point, Heritage and Stigma allows for an inclusive, co-productive model of design in the creation of public histories. Partners include archives, museums, charities and mental health trusts.
