Resource authors: Aikaterini AlexiouProject: Valuing community-led design
What the researchers call ‘community-led design’ has a long tradition in architecture and planning, although it is still not mainstream practice. This project aimed to collate, articulate and disseminate evidence about the value of community-led design and bring the relevant stakeholders together to share good practice and form a research agenda for the future. Perhaps community-led design is not very well understood or disseminated, so the project tried to help with that, and to make the case for the value of it. The organization is interested in exploring the term ‘value’ and people’s perception of it. In this video, the researchers discuss community-led design, methods, how the project has benefitted the community, and project outcomes.
