Co-Creating CARE - Project Film

Resource authors: Fiona Seaton Hackney

CARE is Community Asset-Based research and enterprise. This film explains the pilot project around films about craft producers and responders to their work. CARE aims to test and develop a methodology for co-produced community learning through creative practice that builds dialogue, promotes self-reflection and reflexivity. Millions of people engage in hobby crafts every year in all kinds of activities. There is a whole range of skills, competencies, different forms of creativity engaged in these kind of activities, which, very often, are under-valued. We want to find ways of sharing and reflecting on these kind of skills and creativity and thereby thinking about how they could be utilized in different forms of practice such as voluntary work, community learning, running small businesses.
